eBook | Securing AI from the Inside Out
AI is unlocking speed, scale and capability across every part of the enterprise. Models enhance workflows, copilots reshape how people interact with systems and agentic AI turns complex actions into near-instant execution. It’s a genuine shift in how fast organizations can operate.
But progress cuts both ways. These same AI capabilities that sharpen internal performance are also reshaping the threat landscape.
Attackers are using generative models to industrialize phishing, craft deepfake audio and video, and generate malware variants at scale. According to Check Point Research, threat actors are already using AI tools to automate reconnaissance, enhance payloads, and refine social engineering with a level of personalization that’s difficult to distinguish from legitimate communication1.At the same time, enterprise use of AI is rising fast. In recent months, 51% of corporate networks interacted with GenAI services, and 1 in every 80 prompts carried a high risk of sensitive data leakage, with a further 7.5% containing potentially sensitive information2. As copilots, assistants and background AI services embed themselves into daily workflows, decisions, data and identities move across systems faster than traditional controls were designed to follow.
